"I receive it (the decree of the minister) this morning in the Slipi office of the Golkar Partys Executive Board. It was delivered by a staff member of the Justice and Human Rights Ministry," Idrus said on Thursday.
The issuance of the decree confirmed that the Agung Laksono-led Golkar leadership is no longer recognized.
Only the Golkar leadership elected during its national congress in Riau and organizing the Bali congress in 2014 has been recognized.
"But there is still a legal problem. The North Jakarta District Court has issued a verdict that the Bali congress is legitimate, the verdict is automatically effective," Idrus stated.
He added that he would consider the decree a New Year's gift and a momentum to make 2016 the year for Golkar's awakening.
The senior Golkar politician hoped that the party would no longer remain divided in the future.
"This new situation has made Golkar solid. We used up our energy in 2015 because of political conflicts, both within the internal Golkar party as well as on a national scale," he remarked.(*)
