Land transport has been cut to those areas over the past several years, Deputy Regent of Musirawas Utara H Devi Suhartoni said here on Tuesday.
The projects dates back to the period when Musirawa Utara was still part of the regency of Musirawas before the regency was split into two in 2013.
Devi Suhartoni estimated hundreds of billions of rupiahs were already spent in the three projects - Pulau Kidak, Biaro and Pauh bridge projects .
"I could not understand why the three projects were left idle after spending so much money . Worse still the roads that were to be connected by the bridges had been damaged before being used," he said.
He said he suspected irregularities involving the contractors and the officials in charge of the projects.
"The one to suffer are the people of the sub-district of Ulu Rawas. They are isolated from the rest of the world," he said.
It was planned the three bridge projects would be handed over to the district administration of Musirawas Utara.(*)
