Under the presidential decree number 21 of 2016, the amount of hajj pilgrimage cost depends on the point of embarkation of each hajj pilgrim, the Cabinet Secretariat said on its official website on Tuesday.
The hajj pilgrimage cost for the point of embarkation in Aceh is set at Rp31,117,461, in Medan at Rp31,672,827, in Batam at Rp32,113,606, in Padang at Rp32,519,099, in Palembang at Rp32,537,702, in Jakarta at Rp34,127,046, and in Solo at Rp34,841,414.
The hajj pilgrimage cost for the point of embarkation in Surabaya is Rp34.941.414, Banjarmasin Rp37,583,508, Balikpapan Rp37,583,508, Makassar Rp38,905,808 and Lombok Rp37,728,961.
"The hajj pilgrimage cost comprises flight cost, accommodation in Mecca and living cost (of each hajj pilgrim)," the decree said.
According to the decree, the hajj pilgrimage cost must be paid to the account of the religious affairs minister at the banks appointed by the minister.
Further provisions needed to implement this presidential decree are to be provided for in a regulation of the religious affairs minister, the decree said. (*)
