"During these bilateral meetings with three countries, we discussed ways to contribute to the peace process," Retno said here on Monday.
The meetings were held on June 3, 2016 on the sidelines of the Paris Meeting meant to make preparations for the International Peace Conference.
The ministers for foreign affairs who held bilateral meetings with Retno included the European Union Foreign Minister, Frederica Mogherini; the Swedish Foreign Affairs Minister, Margot Wallstrom; and the Saudi Arabian Foreign Affairs Minister, Adel Al Jubeir.
Retno said all the ministers backed the idea of continuation of peace negotiations between Palestine and Israel, grounded since 2014.
The ministers also opined that the hiatus in the peace process was leading to a worsening of the situation. They also said the construction of the Israeli illegal residences was having a bad impact.
"Sometimes, we have different angles or perspective. We need to integrate the peace strategy to achieve measurable impact," Retno noted.
The Paris meeting was held to make preparations for the International Peace Conference that was initiated by France.
The UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and the Arab League Secretary General also attended the meeting.
Indonesias presence and the role it played at the meeting reflected that the international community considers the country as contributing to the peace process at regional and global level.
Several ministers who attended the OIC Extraordinary Summit on Palestine and Al Quds Al Sharif held in Jakarta last March expressed similar appreciation.(*)
