Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara (ANTARA News) - A moderate earthquake measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale jolted the Central Sumba district in East Nusa Tenggara at 5.29 am Central Indonesia Standard Time (WITA) on Friday.

Local Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agencey (BMKG) reported that the epicenter of earthquake was located at

09.65 degrees Southern Latitude and 119.72 degrees Eastern Longitude at a depth of 10 km, and some 18 kilometers southeast of Central Sumba.

But so far no there was no further report of any casualty and material damage.(*)
