Garuda Indonesia has also introduced its Super Diamond Seat Business Class in the Airbus A330-300, which would serve the flight route starting from Monday morning.
"From today on, the Guangzhou-Denpasar route will become our daily flight, and will use a bigger aircraft than before, which is the A330-300," Dharmawan J. Hendrata, Garuda Indonesias Guangzhou General Manager, told Antara in Beijing.
Other than that, Garuda Indonesia has also made changes in its flight schedules for the route, he added.
"Garuda Indonesia will leave from Guangzhou at 1:35 local time and will arrive at Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali, Indonesia at 7:30 local time," he stated.
The return flight from Bali will depart at 18:20 and land in Guangzhou International Airport at 23:50 local time.
"The flight schedules are very beneficial, as we would be able to reach the all the destinations from the cities surrounding Guangzhou. In addition to that, it will be more comfortable for the tourists, as they can land in Bali early in the morning and can immediately proceed with their excursions or other activities for the day," he stated.
The target for the aircrafts load includes 85 percent of passengers and 8-10 percent of cargo for every flight.
Super Diamond Seat
The business class Super Diamond Seat is also included in the Beijing-Jakarta-Beijing return flight. Garuda Indonesia has also increased the flight frequency from thrice to four times a week.
Garuda Indonesia is the first airlines in the world to install the Super Diamond Seat Business Class in an Airbus A330-300 airplane. Other carriers today have the same seat type installed in Airbus A350-900 planes.
Apart from the China-Indonesia flight, other flight routes with intermediate distance that will be served by the Airbus A330-300, with the Super Diamond Seat Business Class installed, include flights to Sydney (Australia), Japan and South Korea.
With regard to the Beijing-Denpasar-Beijing route, Garudas Beijing General Manager Hans Halionon said that the carrier will increase the flight frequency from four to five times a week, starting from November.
"Also, the aircraft that will be used to serve the route is the 777-300, with 26 business class seats and 367 economy class seats configuration," he revealed.
Hans said that the Beijing to Jakarta and Denpasar flight routes will all be operated using new aircraft by the end of 2016.
"It is hoped that the comfort provided by the new aircraft can increase the number of passengers on board from China to Indonesia," he added.
Halionon revealed that the capacity of the Beijing-Jakarta route is recorded at 75 percent, whilst the capacity of the Beijing-Denpasar route is recorded at 90 percent.(*)
