Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Indonesian Vice President Jusuf Kalla, Defence Minister Ryamizard Ryacudu, and delegates of foreign countries visited the booths of local and international defense industries participating in the Indo Defence Expo and Forum 2016 here on Wednesday.

The event, which is held at the Hall D of International Expo Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, until Saturday, showcases a variety of state-of-the-art weapons, including artillery, tanks, boat tanks, smart bombs and air defense system.

At least 28 countries, including Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Australia, Japan, China, South Korea, France, Russia, Poland and Italy, had confirmed that they have sent their official delegates for attending the expo, joined by 844 participants from 45 countries.

Indonesia has regularly been holding this defense expo and forum since 2004.
