This is not the first time that I come here. I have often visited here."Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Indonesian Police Chief General Tito Karnavian attended a "Tabliq Akbar" (great sermon) gathering in Jami Al-Riyadh Mosque in Kwitang, Central Jakarta, Sunday.
Gen Tito arrived in Kwitang at 8 a.m. and was greeted by Alhabib Ali Alhabsy, of the tablig organizing committee.
"This is not the first time that I come here. I have often visited here. I know Habib Abdurrohman well," he said.
The general explained that his presence in the tablig event has nothing to do with the security situation n Jakarta at present.
"Once again, this is not the first time I visit here. When I was the Jakarta Police Chief, and (chief) of the National Counter-terrorism Agency (BNPT), I often visited here," he said.
The Police Chief was accompanied by Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Boy Rafli Amar, Head of the Jakarta Military Command Major General Teddy Lhaksmana, Deputy Chief of the Jakarta Police Brigadier General Suntana and spokesman of the Jakarta Police Awi Setiyono.
