"Not yet, as I think House members are still busy with their activities in their respective activities during the recess. Many are out of city in their respective constituencies and some are abroad on duty," Deputy House Speaker Fadli Zon said here on Monday.
Fadli said the main point in the planned revision is additional seat at the MPR and DPR leadership.
The planned discussion of revision of the MD3 Law is proposed by the ruling Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP), which felt it has been unfairly treated under the MD3 Law.
The party although having the largest seats at MPR and DPR has been given no position in the leadership including in Commissions of the two state institutions as at the time of the leadership elections the two institutions were dominated by the opposition coalition.
Now, however, the balance of power has been much in favor of the ruling coalition both in MPR and DPR.
Fadli said PDIP itself has not named its candidate to take the new post at the two institutions.
"As far as I am concerned , the PDIP faction has not given a name," the Gerindra party politician said.
He said the additional position in the leadership of the two institutions would mean additional facility to be provided, but it has been taken into account.
"Yes, certainly it has been taken into account. Additional facility also means additional budget but I think it is not a big problem," he said.
Earlier another Deputy House Speaker Fahri Hamzah said discussions on the proposed revision of the MD3 Law could be held during the ress time.
"Discussion on the revision of the MD3 Law could be held during the recess by the Legislation Body and the faction proposing the revision," Fahri said here last week.
He said the revision proposers, PDIP and Golkar, could hold a meeting with the Legislation Body for harmonization.
After harmonization is reached between the proposers and the Legislation Body, a plenary session could be scheduled through a meeting of the House leaders and the Consultative Body (Bamus), he said.
"The Legislative Body and Bamus often hold meetings during recess . They follow up discussions on on urgent issues during recess," he said.
He said he hoped a plenary session on revision of MD3 law would be held early in the next session period as it could not be held at present.(*)
