The 36-year old housewife, identified by her initials as DL, was arrested after the police had received a tip-off from the public, acting chief of the Jambi city polices public relations Brigadier Alamsyah Amir, who spoke on behalf of the city polices chief, Senior Commissioner Bernard Sibarani, said on Monday.
The case came to the light when a police officer in plainclothes pretended to buy ecstasy pills from the housewife at her house in East Jambi sub-district, Jambi city, he added.
The police officer later met with DL who brought ecstasy pills he had ordered, Amir noted.
DL was later arrested and questioned.
During the questioning, DL admitted that she still kept hundreds of ecstasy pills. She put the ecstasy pills into bottles and buried them.
"At that time, the police officer seized 73 red ecstasy pills and 263 brown ecstasy pills. In total, they seized 263 ecstasy pills," he stated.
The suspect is being held in custody at the Jambi city police. The police will question her to see where she got the contraband from. (*)
