"We visit Kyai Haji Hasyim Muzadi, and we all pray that he may soon be cured," the president remarked at Muzadis residence in Lowokwaru Village, Malang.
President Jokowi and his entourage departed from the Halim Perdanakusuma Airport in Jakarta at 8 a.m. local time and arrived at the Malangs Abdulrahman Saleh Airport at 9:30 a.m. local time.
From the airport, President Jokowi headed to Muzadis residence and arrived at 10 a.m. local time for the visit that lasted about 45 minutes.
Muzadi, the founder of the Al Hikam Islamic Boarding School, underwent treatment at the Lavalette Hospital in Malang due to his poor health condition some time ago.
However, after having undergone medical treatment for several days, the health condition of the former chairman of the Nahdlatul Ulama Organization improved, and the doctors allowed him to leave the hospital.(*)
