The three suspects were detained at three different locations in West Java`s city of Bandung on the same day after the bomb attack in the area.Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Indonesian Police have named three suspects in the suicide bombing that took place at the Kampung Melayu bus station in East Jakarta last week.
"The three suspects have already been detained. Their initials are A, WS, and JIS," a spokesman of the Indonesian Police Inspector General Setyo Wasisto said here, Friday.
The three suspects are Jajang Iqin Sodikin, Asep alias Abu Dafa and Waris Suyitno alias Masuit.
The three suspects were detained at three different locations in West Javas city of Bandung on the same day after the bomb attack in the area.
The suspects are friends of the two suicide bombers, Ichwan Nurul Salam and Ahmad Sukri.
Setyo said the three suspects were being questioned and detained in the Depok police precinct.
The case is being investigated under Sections 15 and 13 of Law No. 15/2003 on counter-terrorism.
Meanwhile, three other suspected terrorists, namely R alias B, AS and BF alias I, are still being questioned by the police.
R was arrested in the Cibubur area of West Java, while AS and BF were detained at two different locations in Cipayung, East Jakarta on Tuesday.
R alias B, AS and BF alias I allegedly met with Ahmad Sukri a day before the suicide bombing.
On Wednesday night, two explosions were reported at the Kampung Melayu bus terminal in East Jakarta. The first explosion occurred at 21.00 pm local time in front of a public toilet, while the second bomb exploded at 21.05 pm local time, some 10 meters from the first explosion.
According to the police, the suicide bombers from the Jamaah Ansharut Daulah (JAD) Bandung Raya group, who blew up themselves, had made the explosive using a chemical compound called Triacetone Triperoxide.
The explosives were the kind often used by ISIS terror groups in Iraq and Syria, the police said.
The bomb attacks killed three Jakarta police officers, namely Second Brigadier Taufan Tsunami, Second Brigadier Ridho Setiawan and Second Brigadier Imam Gilang Adinata. (*)
