Fatahillah, now a public welfare assistant to the Jakarta administration secretary was charged with corruption in the project to put into function city rivers in 2013 causing a loss of Rp4.8 billion in state fund, head of the law information center of the Attorney General Office M. Rum said here .
"The suspect was arrested by the public prosecutor on order from the head of the West Jakarta prosecution office," Rum said.
The suspect is put in detention as he is facing a sentence of more than 5 years if found guilty and for fear that he could fled or damage or hide the evidence, he said.
The prosecution office already questioned 32 witnesses before Fatahillah was put into jail, he added.(*)
