"Through the prosecution deputy, the amount of money successfully returned to the state totaled Rp276.6 billion, consisting of Rp188 billion from non-tax state revenue and approximately Rp88.6 billion from corruption and money laundering cases, plus grant of spoils," KPK Chairman Agus Rahardjo stated at a press conference on "Achievements and Performance of KPK 2017" at the KPK building in Jakarta on Wednesday.
In 2017, the Commission has handed over grant of spoils, worth Rp88.6 billion, and land and buildings in Surakarta, worth Rp49 billion, to Surakarta City Government to be used as a Batik museum; and land and buildings, worth Rp24.5 billion, to the National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia (ANRI) to be used as an archive center of corruption eradication.
The KPK has also handed over land and buildings in West Karawang, worth Rp2.9 billion, to the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), which will be used for its official housing and office expansion; a guesthouse and its contents as well as operational vehicles, worth Rp11.9 billion, to the Ministry of Finance; and the vehicles to Pekanbaru`s confiscated storage house.
Meanwhile, through the prevention deputy, there is a total of Rp2.67 trillion submitted to the state treasury, consisting of state gratification, worth Rp114 billion, and the rescue of state property of the Ministry of Health, valued at Rp374 billion for 18 hectares, which have been controlled by other parties since 1997.
Furthermore, there is also the result of supervision coordination with PT Kereta Api Indonesia, namely the rent of right of way land (ROW). This is related to railway infrastructure business with eight partners, valued at Rp78 billion, while seven other partners are still in the process of renegotiation, with a potential revenue of Rp604 billion.
In addition, there is also an increase in Non-Tax State Revenues (PNBP) of the Forestry sector, worth Rp1 trillion, and an increase in non-tax revenues from the Minerba (mineral and coal) sector, amounting to Rp1.1 trillion.
PNBP from the forestry sector alone increased by Rp1 trillion to Rp3.4 trillion in 2017 and a fine of Rp1 trillion after being accompanied by the KPK, through the Online Forest Product Administration Information System (SIPUH), since 2016.
Meanwhile, in the education sector, the KPK, along with the Directorate General of Higher Education (Dikti) of the Ministry of Education and Culture, began to put assets of stalled projects in order in the Dikti, worth Rp13 trillion.
KPK has also encouraged the Jakarta city government to integrate the data and tax information, enabling the city government to increase the tax revenue by Rp3.2 trillion.
