The stamps produced in two series, which are Palembang and Jakarta series, and available at the post office in Bandung, West Java, have been sought after by philatelists.
"Certain stamps have been sold out. The consumers had mostly made a pre-order since a month ago through electronic mails or offline services," philately manager of the post office, Iwan Haryawan, stated here on Tuesday.
He noted that the post office in Bandung received one thousand sheets, consisting of mini-sheets, souvenir sheets, and first-day covers.
All of the stamps have almost been ordered by consumers, who have been in the waiting list before the stamps were even printed.
"We have coordinated with the central office with regard to meeting the demands," he revealed.
Regarding the prices, Haryawan explained that the mini-sheet series are sold at Rp54 thousand per piece, while the souvenir sheet Jakarta and Palembang are sold at Rp15 thousand, and first-day cover sheet at Rp37 thousand per piece.
