Sydney (ANTARA News) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) had a lunch at Admiralty House, the Sydney official residence of the Governor-General of Australia, Peter Cosgrove, after attending the 2018 ASEAN-Australia Special Summit plenary session.

The President came out of the Sydney International Convention Center (ICC), the venue of the ASEAN-Australia Special Summit 2018 at noon local time.

President Jokowi, Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull, and other ASEAN leaders boarded the Victor Chang ship which took them to the Sydney Harbor, to the official residence of the Governor-General of Australia.

The lunch at the Admiralty House was hosted by the Commonwealth Governor General of Australia to honor the the leaders participating in the special summit.

Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi accompanied the President during the three-day summit (March 16-18).

Themed "Enhancing Regional Security and Prosperity", the ASEAN-Australia Special Summit discussed issues related to regional security, economic relations as well as counter-terrorism measures so as to further tighten the relationship between Australia and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

In the afternoon, President Jokowi and First Lady Iriana as well as other members of the presidential entourage will depart for Wellington, New Zealand, to pay a state visit.
