Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Vice Foreign Minister A.M. Fachir will lead the Indonesian delegation to the 45th Ministerial Level Conference of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) which will be held in Dhaka, Bangladesh, from May 5 to 6 this year.

The OIC Ministerial Level Conference this year will be themed Islamic Values for Sustainable Peace, Solidarity, and Prosperity, spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Arrmanatha Nasir said here on Thursday.

At the conference, the Indonesian delegation will raise a number of issues, including ways to improve the performance of OIC member states in addressing the global challenges and specific challenges facing them, he said.

"Some time ago President Joko Widodo proposed an OIC joint mechanism to resolve various conflicts among OIC member states," he said.

The other issue that the Indonesian delegation will raise at the conference is the effort to increase cooperation among OIC member states in the economic and health fields, he said.

"In addition, there will also be a meeting themed humanitarian challenges facing OIC member states, including the impact of Rohingya refugees," he said.

The theme is related to the influx of refugees from Myanmar`s western state of Rakhine to Bangladesh, he said.

Hence, the issue of refugees fleeing the Rakhine state to Bangladesh will be one of the main topics to be discussed at the ministerial meeting.
