Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Darmin Nasution, has said the bilateral meeting with India discussed various economic issues.

The discussion focused on economic cooperation, including in the palm oil sector and meat exports, Darmin said here on Wednesday.

"This is a wide scope for cooperation, from palm oil to pharmaceutical material; we also import meat from India. They also offered cooperation in other areas," he added.

However, he did not give details saying the talks were in the preliminary stage.

India`s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, is in Indonesia from May 29 to 31. The visit was aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation for a comprehensive strategic partnership.

"It is time for Indonesia to have a comprehensive strategic partnership. This must be with concrete cooperation, and concrete cooperation can only materialise through increased engagement, including at the level of leaders," President Joko Widodo said during the bilateral meeting at Merdeka Palace.

Jokowi said both countries should work hard for a comprehensive strategic partnership.
