Surabaya, E Java (ANTARA News) - Port operating company PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Pelindo III) will launch a free Lebaran homecoming program next year that can be accessed online.

PT Pelindo III has implemented the free homecoming program for three consecutive years for ship passengers who disembarked at Tanjung Perak Port in Surabaya, East Java.

From Tanjung Perak, the incoming travelers were then transported by a number of free buses, provided by the company, to their respective destinations in East Java.

"We provide 83 free buses for the free homecoming program this year, or double in number than that in previous year," Pelindo III CEO

Gusti Ngurah Askhara Danadiputra told the newsmen here on Monday.

According to him, the 83 units of buses will serve the disembarking ship passengers at Tanjung Perak to various destinations in the regions of East Java and Central Java.

"The buses will transport around 14 thousand passengers to some 15 destinations," Danadiputra said, adding that the free homecoming program is part of the program of state owned company to serve the Lebaran holiday travelers, in cooperation with the state owned public transit bus company, Damri.

Further, he reiterated that several passengers wanted the free homecoming program next year can be ordered online, and he said it was a good idea to be implemented.
