"The Indonesian government must prepare itself. People who will serve guests from outside countries should display the personality and culture of our nation," Chairman of the Indigenous People`s Alliance of Nusantara of Lampung Timur district Rizal Ismail said in Lampung province on Friday.
He noted that cultural characteristics and the personalities of the indigenous people of Indonesia were hospitality and courtesy.
"We should show our personality and culture as hospitable and polite people. This (Asian Games) is a promotional event, so they (guests from outside countries) will definitely have good memories of Indonesia, and some day want to visit Indonesia again," he said.
The alliance supported the implementation of the Asian Games and the host regions of Jakarta and Palembang to host the event.
"Please show our good tradition as friendly and polite people," he stated.
