Under the presidential regulation , the Industry Ministry will be reorganized, Airlangga said here on Thursday, adding the government will form a Special Team for the implementation of the industrial revolution 4.0.
The team will be headed by Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan and implementation would be carried out by Daily Team Chairman Industry Minister.
"The President already prepared the Presidential Regulation on reorganization at the Industry Ministry. The Industry Ministry would be more prepared in facing the Industry 4.0 in line with the priority and to expand area of development," Airlangga said.
In addition to setting up team, the government is building industrial clusters in development of centers in a number of areas such as Sei Mangkei, North Sumatra, North Kalimantan, Central Sulawesi and Bintuni, Papua.
Development of the industrial clusters is expected take place and culminate in 2022 and 2013.
Therefore, infrastructure, ministerial regulations and priorities including program to prune import and to use high local content will be prepared, the minister said.
He said projects especially those in oil and gas sector and power generating projects are required to use more local components.
