Jakarta, (ANTARA News) - The rowing team from the host country Indonesia failed to win any medal in the final number of canoe / kayak sprint of the 2018 Asian Games in the women`s Kayak four/K4 500 meters.

The Indonesian women rowing team, consisting of Astuti Ririn Puji, Maysche Ibo Stevani, Masripah and Deau Emiliana, was seventh in the final at the Palembang Jakabaring Sports City (JSC) on Saturday afternoon.

Chinese women`s team, strengthened by MA Qing, Zhou Yu, Yang Jiali, and Huang Jieyi, succeeded in winning a gold medal in the women`s 500-meter K4 class.

Meanwhile, silver medals were won by Kazakh rowing teams which were supported by Klinova Inna, Padonkova Irina, Ananchenko Zoya and Kopyova Viktoriya.

Third place or women`s 500 meter K4 bronze medal was won by Uzbekistan rowing team with Kazantseva Natalya, Borzova Yuliya, Shubina Ekaterina, and Kochneva Kseniya.

Previously Indonesian female rowing athlete Andriani Riska, who was relied on to win gold, was only able to win a silver medal in the class of Canoe single / C1 female 200 meters.
