In the final of the C1 at Palembang`s Jakabaring Sports City canoeing stadium on Saturday, Riska competed with Chinese athlete Sun Mengya, who won a gold medal.
Riska finished in second place, with a time of 49.086 seconds, while Mengya came first, with a record time of 49.070 seconds.
Meanwhile, the bronze medal was won by athlete from Uzbekistan, Rakhmatova Dinoza, with a time of 49.282 seconds.
In the women`s 200 meters single class (K1), Indonesian athlete Maysche Ibo Stevani failed to win any medal.
The gold medal in the women`s K1 class was won by Clinova Inna from Kazakhstan, with a record time of 42.045 seconds, while the silver and bronze medals were secured by Li Yue from China and Ono Yuka from Japan respectively.
A medal eluded Indonesian athlete Sutrisno in the final of the men`s 200-meter K1 as well as Tarra Anwar and Marjuki in the 200-meter canoe double (C2) class.
Riska, who won the silver medal in the 200 meter C1 class, said she was quite satisfied with the result.
"I have struggled to prepare for the gold medal, but the capability of Chinese athletes should be recognized," she added.
