"The goal of hosting the Asian Para Games 2018 is Indonesia becoming a friendly country for the disabled. We must be able to achieve it," INAPGOC deputy director for media and public relations Tina Talisa said.
She said she would cooperate with all parties be it the government, private entities and most importantly the community to assure the success of the Games.
"We would certainly be glad to cooperate with all parties to assure the success of the Asian Para Games 2018 which will be the first to be held in Indonesia," she said.
She hoped with the support of all parties the country`s athletes would be able to produce maximal achievement.
"We hope the performance of the Indonesian athletes would inspire us all to make achievement at international arenas and at the same time we can show to the world that Indonesia is a friendly country for the disabled," she said.
The Asian Para Hames 2018 scheduked from October 6 to 13 will be attended by 2,800 athletes, 1,800 officials and 500 media persons from home and abroad from 41 countries.
A totoa of 18 sport branchrs would be competed in the event including basket ball, volley ball, fencing, table tennis, futsal, swimming, shooting, judo, cycling, chess, weight lifting, bowling, badminton, running, boccia, archery, hand ball and tennis.
