"We sold the ticket for the opening ceremony at Rp500 thousand, Rp750 thousand, Rp1.5 million, and Rp2.5 million. We limit the selling to maximum four tickets per buyer," Chairman of INAPGOC, Raja Sapta Oktohari, said here on Thursday.
In addition to the ticket for the opening ceremony, the committee has sold tickets for venue entry at Rp10 thousand, ticket for one sport branch at Rp25 thousand, ticket for full-day competitions at Rp100 thousand, and for six-day competitions at Rp200 thousand.
Oktohari remarked that the Asian Para Games opening ceremony would bring the theme of morality and humanity, which would also be enlivened by performance by the disabled.
"We referred to the Asian Games for ticket selling operator," he added.
Vice Director of Marketing at Loket, Mohamad Ario Adimas noted that 70 percent of the ticket would be sold through the company`s networking.
"The remaining 30 percent would be sold offline. But we are yet to determine the location for the (offline) sales," Adimas stated.
INAPGOC director for ceremony Aulia Mahariza revealed that some 20 thousand tickets, or half of the Bung Karno Main Stadium capacity, for the opening ceremony would be sold to the public.
"The remaining 20 thousand seats would be allotted to the other categories. We also allocated 2 thousand tickets for disabled persons through the Social Affairs Ministry," he added.
As many as 2,832 disabled athletes from 43 countries would compete in 18 sport branches in the Asian Para Games, scheduled to be held in Jakarta from Oct 6 to 13.
