Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Electronic University of Saudi Arabia and 45 Indonesian universities and institutions will build cooperation in the field of Arabic Online Learning, as part of educational and cultural cooperation programs, as well as civilization relations between the two countries.

A statement from the Arabic Teachers Association of Indonesia (IMLA) received by Antara here on Friday mentioned that the Chancellor of the Electronic University of Saudi Arabia, Prof. Dr. Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz al-Musa, will visit Indonesia to sign a Memorandum of Activity (MoA) on the Arabic Learning Online Program with 45 Indonesian universities and institutions.

The cooperation document will be signed on September 28, 2018, at the State University of Malang, East Java Province, under the coordination of IMLA.

This cooperation aims to transfer the Arabic Online Learning system from the Electronic University of Saudi Arabia to Indonesian universities for free. This is expected to develop and support Arabic learning in Indonesian institutions and universities.

The Arabic Learning Online Program by the Electronic University of Saudi Arabia is one of the modern learning programs for non-Arab people.

This program is designed by referring to the European system for foreign language learning. This program has content that is not found in traditional and conventional learning programs.

The program consists of 792 interactive videos, 12,000 audio files, 6,320 images for lessons, and 10,076 exercises.

Therefore, the cooperation of the Arabic Online Learning program is expected to make a major contribution to the development of Arabic learning in Indonesia.

In order that the Arabic Online Learning program can be implemented immediately, after the signing of the document, a technical training will be held on the same day.

The learning program is a form of deep educational and cultural cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Indonesia based on friendship, brotherhood and sustainable cooperation spirits.

Earlier, a number of universities in Indonesia had established cooperation in the same field with the Electronic University of Saudi Arabia.
