New York, (ANTARA News) - Indonesian Vice President M Jusuf Kalla held a meeting with Queen Maxima of the Netherlands to discuss financial inclusion, on the sidelines of the 73rd General Assembly of the UN, here, Tuesday.

Kalla was flanked by Foreign Affairs Minister Retno LP Marsudi during the 20 minute-meeting with the UN Secretary-General's Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development (UNSGSA).

The Vice President informed about the developments of financial inclusion in Indonesia.

Indonesia has conducted financial inclusion through various policies applied by the government such as in providing small scale credits (KUR).

In addition, Indonesia has also seen development of financial technology (fintech), which is communication and information technology-based financing companies.

Meanwhile, Vice President M Jusuf Kalla attended the general debate of the 73rd UN General Assembly at the UN Headquarters in New York on Tuesday morning.

This is the fourth time in a row that Kalla is attending the UN General Assembly since he took office in 2014.

During the opening of the general debate, Kalla was accompanied by Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Puan Maharani and Foreign Minister Retno LP Marsudi.

On the third day of his visit to New York, Kalla is scheduled to attend an informal reception hosted by the Fijian prime minister at 100 UN Plaza Suite.
