During a media meeting in Nusa Dua, Bali, on Tuesday, Dharmayanti said the signing of the investment agreement for the projects was scheduled to be held on Thursday (11/10).
Some investors involved included Air France-KLM from France in collaboration with PT GMF AeroAsia Tbk for the development of aircraft engine maintenance technology.
Investment for the development of tourist areas in Mandalika, West Nusa Tenggara, was also carried out by involving the Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation (Persero) and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB).
Canadian company Waterbury Farrel will also work with PT Pindad to build ammunition plants in Malang, East Java. PT ANTAM Tbk will also establish an agreement with Ocean Energy for the nickel project in East Halmahera.
"It will be delivered in full. There is also one from Aluminum Corporation of China Limited (Chalco) for the alumina smelter grade refinery project. There is also one from Inalum with the MIT Energy Initiative," Dharmayanti said.
Furthermore, several companies that are also involved in the projects to be signed included AMW GmbH, PT INKA, PT Pertamina, PLN, PT Kereta Api Indonesia, Jasa Marga, PT SMI, and Maybank.
On the same occasion, BI Deputy Governor Dody Budi Waluyo explained that the realization of investments to support infrastructure development in various sectors would show the global environment that Indonesia continues to grow and make improvements.
"For Indonesia, from the side of the problem of the current account deficit, that is always an issue; the hope is that with better infrastructure, export activities will be helped," he said. *
