The pavilion themed Rediscovering Indonesia is organized by the State Enterprises Ministry in cooperation with a number of ministries and state-owned companies to display a wide range of national strategic projects, performances, and arts works, Jasa Marga President Director Desi Arryani said in a press statement released on Tuesday.
"Jasa Marga is displaying a model of toll road networks in Jabodetabek (Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi), which are toll road sections with the highest traffic," she said.
As the operator of toll roads in the country, PT Jasa Marga is taking part in the expo held in the resort area of Nusa Dua in Bali on October 8-14.
State Enterprises Minister Rini Soemarno on Tuesday opened the expo wrapped in the concept of "showcase hall" held on more than 2,000 square meters of land. Jasa Marga President Director Desi Arryani was also present at the opening ceremony.
There are three main toll road networks outside radial toll roads in Jakarta. They are Jakarta Inner Ring Road, Jakarta Outer Ring Road (JORR), and JORR 2. The last one is now under construction and land clearance process.
Jasa Marga through its subsidiary manages three of six toll road sections of JORR 2. They toll road sections are Cengkareng-Kunciran, Kunciran-Serpong, and Serpong-Cinere.
In total, the three toll road sections measure 35.5 km in length.
By early October, the 14.2 km Cengkareng-Kunciran section is 22.87 percent completed, with land clearance reaching 50.82 percent; the 11.2 km Kunciran-Serpong section was 70.46 percent completed, with land clearance reaching 97.33 percent; and the 10.1 km Serpong-Cinere section was 49.03 percent completed, with land clearance reaching 86.08 percent.
When JORR 2 is completed, it will help distribute traffic in and around Jakarta, she said.
Citing an example, she said Bogor residents wishing to travel to Soekarno-Hatta Airport in Tangerang will no longer take the Inner Ring Road but can use JORR 2 which is relatively shorter.
