Tarsus Indonesia`s Portfolio Director, Cheah Wai Hong, in a written statement in Jakarta on Wednesday said that the government`s focus on infrastructure development in Indonesia would need to get support and encouragement from various stakeholders in the related industry sector.
Therefore, he continued, Tarsus Indonesia, a business-to-business-based (B2B) media, exhibition and conference company presented the Indonesia Infrastructure Week (IIW) 2018.
"Indonesia Infrastructure Week 2018 is designed as a solution by presenting answers to market and infrastructure industry needs in the country. This event presents opportunities to do business with various parties, while pushing the government`s infrastructure agenda in accelerating infrastructure development in the six available sectors," he said.
According to him, IIW 2018 aims to support the government in the country`s infrastructure development agenda, as well as providing a platform for business people and solution providers in the field of infrastructure to find out more details related to information, challenges and opportunities in maximizing infrastructure projects in Indonesia.
In this 6th year, the 2018 IIW is projected to carry around 16,000 visitors ranging from professionals in the energy, water and sewage treatment sectors, railways, ports, utilities, construction and transportation.
During the event, all the main actors in the supply chain of the Indonesian infrastructure industry were brought together to explore new opportunities, exchange ideas, build connections, and showcase their superior products and services.
IIW 2018 will hold seven vertical trade shows within the scope of the infrastructure sector including InfraEnergy Indonesia, InfraPorts Indonesia, InfraSecurity Indonesia, InfraRail Indonesia, InfraWater Indonesia, Trenchless Indonesia and Special Economic & Industrial Zones (SEIZ).
In addition, IIW 2018 also presents eight free and open public conferences with topics including Infrafinance Conference, Infraenergy Conference, Infraport Conference, Infrarail Conference, Infrawater Conference, Infrasecurity Conference, SEIZ Conference, and Trenchless Tech Indonesia Conference. Ministers and related professionals will share insights and new regulations over Indonesia`s infrastructure opportunities in the future.
The event is being held in conjunction with the 2018 Indonesian Construction as the largest construction exhibition in the country, as well as 2018 Intertraffic Indonesia as an exhibition with the best products and solutions to traffic infrastructure. More than 150 exhibitors from domestic and foreign companies are expected to take part in the IIW 2018 event.
