"This is the trust laid by the world on Indonesia in organizing a world-class event," President Jokowi stated at a limited cabinet meeting on Our Ocean Conference (OOC) 2018 at the Bogor Palace on Monday.
Jokowi noted that the OOC will be held in Bali on October 29-30, 2018, to build the world`s trust that must continue to be preserved.
To this end, the president has urged his ministers to file a report on preparations for holding the conference, as only six days were left.
"We are racing against time for holding the Our Ocean Conference 2018. Hence, today, I ask for your detailed report on it," the president stated.
Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Luhut Binsar Panjaitan noted that preparations for holding the conference had reached 95 percent completion, yet he acknowledged that several areas still needed improvement.
The limited cabinet meeting was attended by Panjaitan, Minister/State Secretary Pratikno, Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi, Chief of the Presidential Staff Moeldoko, Minister of Communication and Information Technology Rudiantara, Minister of Health Nilla Moeloek, Indonesian Defense Forces Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto, National Police Chief Gen. (Pol) Tito Karnavian, and Head of the National Intelligence Agency Budi Gunawan, among others.
