Jakarta, (ANTARA News) - An earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale shook Central Sulawesi province on Saturday morning, according to the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG).

The epicenter of the earthquake which struck at 04.33 WIB (West Indonesia Standard Time) was on land about 37 kilometers northwest of Poso district at a depth of 10 kilometers, the agency said.

A powerful 7.4 magnitude earthquake and subsequent tsunami devastated Palu city and Donggala district in Central Sulawesi late September 2018, leaving thousands of people injured and dead.
