Jakarta (ANTARA News) - United States aircraft manufacturer Boeing issued a manual operating guide related to the crash of a Boeing 737 MAX 8 passenger aircraft coded JT 610 belonging to Lion Air which crashed in Tanjung Karawang, West Java, October 29, 2018.

The instructions, referred to as the Operations Manual Bulletin (OMB), were issued on November 6, to direct airline operators or airlines regarding the procedures that must be taken by the flight crew when a sensor in the Angle of Attack (AOA) occurs, according to Boeing in its official statement, quoted Wednesday .

The Indonesian National Transportation Safety Committee (KNTK) has indicated that the Lion Air JT 610 flight encountered a problem with the AOA sensor input. Therefore, as is the usual procedure, Boeing publishes a bulletin or makes recommendations regarding the operation of the aircraft, the statement said.

Boeing also said that it provided full support and technical assistance to the NTSC and other government authorities responsible for investigating Lion Air JT 610 flights.

Investigation of the Lion Air JT 610 crash that killed 189 people is underway and Boeing continues to cooperate fully and provide technical assistance under the direction of government authorities investigating the accident.

The accident of the Lion Air JT 610 which crashed in Tanjung Karawang waters on the morning of October 29 was touted as the deadliest flight accident in 2018.
