"The rain was quite heavy and triggered flooding. I did not sleep because my home was flooded," Nanang Suriansyah, an inhabitant of Sampit, said here, Monday.
Downpour again fell in the wee hours of Monday and caused flooding in Sampit town, Mentawa Baru Sub-district and Maamang Sub-district.
Nur Setiawan, head of the Asan Sampit meteorology station, has called on inhabitants of East Kotawaringin to remain vigilant in the current rainy season which will last until April or May and peak in January and February.
