"My hope is that the investors from Korea will look at Start Up Indonesia to be able to invest or partner in developing their business," Rudiantara stated, when attending the Start Up Asia discussion in Jakarta, on Tuesday.
He explained that the development of Indonesia`s digital business is growing rapidly, and the average stub of its digital business is managed by young people.
"There is no need to bring Korean technicians to Indonesia. We are able to compete enough to partner in terms of funding or application of technology that has helped us a lot," Rudiantara noted.
According to him, bringing technicians from Korea would not give local staff the opportunity to develop, and would later lead to social jealousy.
Rudiantara considers Korea as a country that has a good development of Start Up, because there are many factors that support the development of young people in the country of ginseng.
In addition to supporting technology infrastructure, internet networks in Korea have capabilities that are above the average of Asian countries, even one of the fastest in the world.
After infrastructure, institutions and the readiness of financing are also easier in Korea, because many other countries have considered them as strategic places to invest, especially in the technology sector.
The Indonesian meeting with the Korean investor delegation aimed to simplify the development of the Start Up in Indonesia. The opportunity was also a platform for exchanging ideas with the growing Start Up in Korea.
