Indonesia triumphed in the eLifemap Challenge, eTools Challenge, and eCreatives Challenge in the event themed "Leave no one behind" held on Nov 8-12, the Communication and Informatics Ministry noted in a press statement released on Wednesday.
With the help of the Indonesian Embassy in India, Fayza Putri Adila emerged as the overall champion by winning the Global IT Leader Award as she bagged two titles in the individual eLifemap Challenge and eTools Challenge.
In addition, the Indonesian team 1 comprising Bramudia Nur Alam, Fayza Adila Putri, Abdul Kahar, and Muhammad Zain Nabhan also emerged the group winner in the eCreatives Challenge.
This year, Indonesia sent two teams comprising eight senior high school students with disabilities to take part in four individual and group events at the competition.
GITC 2018 is an IT competition for children with disabilities to compete in the eLifemap Challenge, eTools Challenge, eContents Challenge, and eCreatives Challenge.
The competition, held for the first time in 1992, is aimed at increasing the accessibility and competitiveness of children with disabilities through the use of information and communication technology.
