The MoU was signed by the Governor of Namangan, Khayrullo Kh. Bozarov, and CEO of Antara Digital Media (IMQ), Darmadi, in Namangan City on Monday, according to a statement received by Antara here on Monday.
"We are very enthusiastic about the role of Antara Digital Media as it will help promote tourism potentials and investment opportunities in Namangan Province and Uzbekistan, in general," Bozarov stated in his remarks after the signing of the MoU.
Bozarov stressed that cooperation between the two parties could be enhanced in various fields, such as trade, investment, and science and technology, for business people of both countries.
Meanwhile, Darmadi noted that Antara Digital Media would help promote the potentials of Namangan Province and Uzbekistan through Antara`s digital media network, especially the one that is being developed by the company.
"Outdoor media will be installed in a number of provincial capitals, while TVC media is installed in various public areas, such as airports, train stations, hospitals, office buildings, and shopping centers," Darmadi added.
Antara Digital Media and the SME International Trade Association of Malaysia (SMITA) are hosting delegations from Malaysia, Indonesia, China, and Taiwan to help Uzbekistan open its markets to Asian countries.
The chairman of the SMITA delegation, Thomas Soo, has expressed hope that with Uzbekistan`s economic transformation policy initiated by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, he was confident of the future of the country.
"I am very confident that Uzbekistan`s economic will grow by around seven to nine percent. We are also proud to be invited by the Namangan Provincial Administration to explore investments and opportunities of the country," Soo remarked.
