Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The police forensic team has identified three more passengers of the crashed Lion Air plane, bringing the number of identified passengers to 104.

Head of the Indonesian Police` Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) department, Senior Commissioner Lisda Cancer, stated here on Tuesday that the forensic team has identified three more passengers, namely Puspita Eka Putri (female, 24), Achmad Sukron Hadi (male, 30), and Muhammad Luthfi Nurramdhani (male, 24).

"The three victims were identified through DNA examination," Cancer noted.

Earlier on Monday, the team identified one passenger Fiona Ayu Zen S (30) based on her DNA.

As of Tuesday, the number of passengers of the ill-fated airplane identified by the forensic team has reached 104, comprising 73 male and 28 female passengers, while the remaining 85 passengers remain unaccounted for.

A Boeing 737-8 Max flight JT 610, operated by low-cost carrier Lion Air, crashed into the Java Sea off Tanjung Karawang in West Java on Oct 29, 13 minutes after taking off from Cengkareng`s Soekarno-Hatta International Airport at 6:20 a.m. local time on its way to Pangkalpinang.

The aircraft, with registration number PK-LQP, carried 182 passengers and seven crews.
