Lampung (ANTARA News) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) visited Lampung Province as part of his two-day work visit to the capital city of Bandarlampung.

President Jokowi, in the company of First Lady Iriana, arrived at the Radin Inten II Airport, Lampung, at around 9:30 WIB.

The presidential delegation had earlier flown from Ahmad Yani Airport, Semarang, Central Java, aboard the Indonesian-1 presidential plane at 8:05 WIB.

Several officials including Governor of Lampung Muhammad Ridho Ficardo, Commander of Military District II/Sriwijaya Maj. Gen. TNI Irwan, and Police Chief of Lampung Brigadier General (Pol) Purwadi Arianto were present to welcome the president in the VIP room of Raden Inten Airport.

During the visit to Lampung, the president handed over land deeds and attended the event of the Ministry of Village, Development of Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration.

According to Head of Bandar Lampung Police Public Relations AKP Titin Maezuna, the president plans to visit the two places in Bandarlampung, including the Graha Wangsa Building and Tugu Adipura Roundabout.

The Bandarlampung police also mobilized 1,013 personnel to secure the president`s working visit.
