"I want to introduce Balinese silver to the people here. This is the first time for me to hold an exhibition in China," Palar told Antara here Sunday night (Dec 2).
Palar showcased her silver handicrafts, made in Lodtunduh, Ubud, in Shanghai City on November 18-20, 2018.
The exhibition was then held in Chongqing City on November 24-25, 2018, and Palar`s silver handicrafts will be on display in Tianjin City from November 29 to December 5, 2018.
The exhibitions in three big cities were held by Palar in Isetan, one of the shopping centers for international branded products.
"We know the management of Isetan in Japan," she stated.
Although the exhibition is being organized to introduce silver handicrafts, the top mall manager allowed Palar to sell here women`s jewelry products priced in the range from 600 RMB to seven thousand RMB (or around Rp1.2 million to Rp14.5 million).
Meanwhile, Indonesian Ambassador to China and Mongolia Djauhari Oratmangun remarked that the exhibition, held at the top mall, offered added value to Indonesia`s creative industries abroad.
"I hope that Isetan would also provide opportunities for other creative industries from Indonesia. If Runi Palar can, why don`t the others?" he remarked after meeting Palar and two Tianjin Isetan Company Limited GMs: Asakawa Koichi and Yamaguchi Daito.
In addition to the Asian region, Palar, earlier a dancer in Yogyakarta, has been showcasing her products in several countries in the United States and Europe.
