"Many have queued up but since it is difficult to manage their time, there are many that we cannot form yet," President Jokowi remarked during the 2018 National Infrastructure One Map Policy and Progress Book Geoportal event at Bidakara Hotel, Jakarta, Tuesday.
He said infrastructure projects included dams, seaports, toll roads, and airports.
"Large ports, such as Kuala Tanjung in North Sumatra, will be inaugurated at the end of this month or the beginning of next month, as well as the Makassar New Port. This is also a big port that we will complete in early 2019," Jokowi stated.
At the start of his remarks, the head of state noted that in the past four years, the government had focused on infrastructure development.
"We witness the development of infrastructure, such as roads, toll roads, airports, ports, and dams, which we have seen one-by-one, many of which have been completed," he pointed out.
He highlighted the possibility of most inauguration being conducted at the end of 2018 or early 2019.
The former governor of DKI Jakarta also shed light on the construction of the Jakarta-Surabaya Toll Road that will be connected at the end of 2018.
"Soon to be connected, there are only four unfinished segments, including Batang-Semarang, Salatiga-Solo, and Wilangan-Kertosono," he revealed.
He said after Merak-Surabaya was connected, it was expected that by the end of 2019, Peacock would be connected to Banyuwangi.
In the near future, it is expected that the Trans Sumatra toll road will connect Lampung to Palembang.
"The toll road connecting Bakauheni to Palembang will first be completed at the end of December 2018," he stated.
He expressed hope that the 148-kilometer Bakauheni Toll Road to Terbanggi Besar would be completed soon.
"I have warned and I have ordered correctly that the toll road from Bakauheni to Palembang be completed in April 2019," he stated.
