He further stressed after receiving information from the public, on Thursday night, TNI personnel from the Intel Korem 011 / Lilawangsa team checked the crime scene to ensure the correctness of the information, during surveillance not far from the crime scene, passing 2 Becak vehicles transporting and launching large logs from Glee Dagang Village, Sawang Subdistrict, North Aceh Diistrict.
Furthermore, immediately stopped the illegal log beam transport vehicle being reported, then after being asked about the permit, it turned out that it did not have a permit or other official document.
"After failing to show an official letter, the intelligence team personnel immediately secured 2 Illegal Timber Beams, along with transporting Becak and 3 (three) suspects, each with KH 16), MR (29), and KRZ (30) Origin of Jurong Village Sawang Settlement, Sawang District.
"The three were taken to the Intel Team Office of the 011 / Lilawangsa District, in West Batupat Village, Muara Satu District, Lhokseumawe, but on the way, one of the three suspects managed to escape into the forest," said Captain Abdul Majid.
He added, the result of the suspect`s confession that illegal logging had been carried out for approximately one and a half years and this time it was only caught.
Then, on Friday morning, evidence in the form of wood and engine rickshaws and 2 suspects, were immediately handed over to Lhokseumawe Regional Police Station, for further processing, concluded the Intel Dantim 011 / Lilawangsa District.
