South Lampung, (ANTARA News) - Numerous Sunda Strait tsunami victims` aid command posts along the coastal area in South Lampung, Lampung, face shortage of basic commodities -- rice, eggs, instant noodles, and equipment -- for residents displaced by the tsunami.

According to information from several tsunami command posts in South Lampung on Thursday, they lack stocks of rice, eggs, instant noodles, soap and toiletries, blankets, tarps, and baby and children`s equipment.

Hence, colleagues, donors, and other parties keen on channeling their assistance are called on to coordinate with the Tsunami Disaster Command Posts in South Lampung Media Center Hotline 0821-83252353 / 0727-321999.

In addition, all parties are expected to help facilitate officers and volunteers in evacuation efforts and in the distribution of logistics aid.

Until now, aid for tsunami victims from various parties also continues to flow in from the governments of Central Lampung District, Bandarlampung City, Tulangbawan District, and Metro City, as well as several other parties.

Numerous non-governmental and mass organizations also raised financial assistance, gathered logistical support, and collected appropriate clothing for residents in South Lampung. They also sent volunteers as well as medical and relief personnel to the location affected by the Sunda Strait tsunami.

The Command Posts` staff members in South Lampung have invited all concerned parties to ease the burden on tsunami victims.
