"We are initiating a `Trans-Java` bus service to create a fleet of luxury buses. It can be done through cooperation with Jasa Marga and an agency," said the Minister at the Km207A Rest Area of the Palikanci Toll Road section, Cirebon, Saturday (Dec 29)
He explained, one bus could carry 40 or 50 people. The Trans-Java service is expected to reduce the tendency of people to use private vehicles while traveling.
"I propose this to Mrs Desi (head of Jasa Marga), that we should start pioneering cooperation with Damri," said the Minister of Transportation.
Minister of Transportation Budi himself said that he would be the first passenger when the Trans-Java bus service was finally formed on the Jakarta-Surabaya route.
The Minister conveyed this in his speech before the Millennial young generation of the Ministry of Transportation and Jasa Marga.
On this occasion the Minister reviewed the Km207A Rest Area of the Palikanci Toll Road section and distributed the book "Trans-Java Culinary Map" to toll road users who stopped at the Rest Area.
