Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Religious Affairs Ministry has set six strategic targets with regard to bureaucratic reforms and public service quality for all religious communities in 2019.

"The Religious Affairs Ministry has six strategic goals in 2019," Secretary General of the Ministry of Religious Affairs M Nur Khois Setiawan said in a press statement here on Monday.

He said that the Ministry of Religious Affairs seeks to improve the quality of religious life; social and religious harmony; the quality of religious services; access to religious education services; the quality of religious education; and the quality of religious development governance.

For the six goals, Nur Kholis asked all Ministry of Religious Affairs officials to be able to optimally implement the priority programs that had been designed.

The secretary general also highlighted the recommendations of an interfaith dialogue that which issued the Jakarta Statement for inclusion in future work plans.

He said the Jakarta statement which was formulated by a number of scholars, religious, cultural and other related elements could be input for the Ministry of Religious Affairs for its work program in 2019.
