The billboard was installed in front of the Prabowo-Sandiaga success team post in Solo, Central Java.
"I want my photograph to be taken out (from the billboard)," Gatot said in his Instagram account @nurmantyo_gatot quoted here on Sunday.
Gatot said he did not know about the billboard, and he had never been asked for approval nor notification, both written or verbal, for the placement of his picture in the billboard.
The billboard displays Gatot`s photograph at the upper left corner, and alongside the image, there is a note to congratulate the inauguration of Prabowo-Sandiaga National Winning team (BPN) headquarters.
Prabowo-Sandiaga`s bigger-size image was put in the middle, below the photograph of Gatot.
The retired general has never publicly declared his support to a certain presidential candidate in the 2019 general election.
Gatot has shown consistency with his own statement last year, that he would only determine his political stance inside the voting booth.
