Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Indonesian Young Leaders Foundation launched a digital curriculum to prepare prospective leaders with technological insight.

"We express commitment to create more young leaders in Indonesia who are responsive to the challenges of Industry 4.0. through leadership program of Young Leaders for Indonesia," Chairperson of the Indonesian Young Leaders Foundation Tuty Collyer said at the 10th anniversary of Young Leaders for Indonesia (YLI) here on Saturday, Jan 19.

The YLI program initiated by PT McKinsey Indonesia in 2008 was a leadership program held for 6 months for outstanding students who have high-potentials for leadership.

The YLI is expected to continue to develop superior human resources and generations of future leaders in Indonesia.

In the McKinsey report, the contribution of the digital economy sector in Indonesia by 2025 can reach US$150 billion, equivalent to 10 percent of Indonesia`s GDP.

To realize the potential of the digital sector, Indonesia needs potential human resources who can become leaders in the public, private and social sectors in the fourth industrial revolution commonly known as industry 4.0.

Participants came from more than 20 leading universities throughout Indonesia, Asia and Australia.

The leadership training presents world-class material to help participants face various organizational challenges. During the program, the participants also have the opportunity to create projects or assignments in an attempt to solve social problems in Indonesia.

In the past 10 years, the YLI Program has nurtured more than 800 young people from Indonesia.
