"Today`s main objective is to give a picture that over the last four years, we have received full support from the Administration of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, particularly in the early years of his government. He had provided additional capital to BUMNs, so that we could invest more and materialize the government`s programs," BUMN Minister Rini Seomarno said.
The BUMNs have materialized programs that help improve the country`s connectivity, she stated.
The connectivity-related programs included constructions of toll roads, railways, train station restoration projects, constructions of new airports, and expansion of airport`s runways, she noted.
Seaport services have also been improved. Dwelling time in seaports has been cut from previously almost eight days to just three days.
"We must further improve it, although it has improved significantly. I want to emphasize to directors and commissioners that we must keep on pushing this, to be better and more competitive," the minister remarked.
The BUMN Ministry, with the support of all state enterprises, will organize various social and educative activities to celebrate the anniversary of the BUMN Ministry, from March until April 2019.
Secretary of the BUMN Ministry, Imam Apriyanto Putro, revealed that the activities will include "BUMN Goes to Campus" in 10 universities located in 10 cities in Indonesia.
The programs of the "BUMN Goes to Campus" event will comprise CEO Talks, Creative Class, Internship, and Certified Vocation.
The ministry will involve some 30 thousand university students during the "BUMN Goes to Campus" Event."
Several BUMNs will also hold a joint recruitment program for 11 thousand recruits.
