Pangkal Pinang, Bangka Belitun (ANTARA) - Pangkal Pinang, Bangka Belitung (ANTARA) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) departed Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base, East Jakarta, Thursday morning, aboard presidential plane Indonesia-1 and arrived at Depati Amir Airport, here, 9:25 a.m. local time, for a working visit to Sumatra's province.

For the one-day working visit, Jokowi was accompanied by First Lady Iriana and several ministers including Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Darmin Nasution, Social Affairs Minister Agus Gumiwang, and Tourism Minister Arif Yahya.

Upon arrival at the Depati Amir Airport, the president and his entourage were greeted by Bangka Belitung Islands Governor Erzaldi Rosman, Chief of the Bangka Belitung Police Brig. Gen. Istiono, and Public Works and Public Housing Minister Budi Karya Sumadi.

Jokowi undertook a tour of the newly renovated airport before leaving.

He later headed to the Tanjung Kelayang Special Economic Zone (KEK) whose development was integrated with that of the airport to boost the local economy.

After inaugurating the Tanjung Kelayang KEK, Jokowi was scheduled to hold a dialog with recipients of the government's social allowances programs, such as the Family of Hope Program (PKH) and the Non-cash Food Aid (BPNT) program.

On Thursday afternoon, Jokowi and his entourage will leave for North Sumatra.
