Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Indonesian Embassy in Dhaka, Bangladesh, has ensured that the implementation of the 2019 election process is safe, peaceful, and transparent, as stated in a written statement from the embassy received on Friday.

This is being done through live broadcasts or live video facilities streaming across several social media channels.

The Overseas Elections Committee (PPLN) in Dhaka uploaded a live video on the Facebook and Instagram accounts of the Indonesian Embassy in Dhaka, which showed the opening of ballot boxes and of the ballots.

The effort was intended to ensure that there were no marked ballot papers in Dhaka, Bangladesh, on April 12, according to the schedule of the General Elections Commission (KPU).

The number in the final voters list (DPT) in Bangladesh has reached 247 people.

On April 12, 186 Indonesian citizens are scheduled to vote directly in polling station 01 at the Indonesian Embassy in Dhaka.

Meanwhile, 61 Indonesians who live outside Dhaka cast their votes and sent them via mail; they have been placed in mobile voting boxes.

The Overseas Elections Committee (PPLN) in Dhaka received 55 ballots via mail and is still awaiting the remaining votes until the counting of votes on April 17, 2019.

In addition, the Overseas Elections Committee also has a responsibility to conduct elections in Nepal, as there are 30 Indonesian citizens there who are a part of the final voters list.
